Happy Thursday - um Valentines Day

Many of you know that I like to make sugar cookies, and holidays make great opportunities to bake sugar cookies - mostly because they sell so many cookie cutters for american holidays. Try making cookies for Chinese New year sometime - I had to look ALL OVER the place for a rooster cookied cutter!

So - here are my valentines cookies - in two shades of pink. "Pepto pink" and "Wow - that's pink". Someone in my office just called them barbie pink - that works too.

Step two: After the icing drys overnight they get all packed up and ready to take to work.

I really should make these more often, they aren't that much work, but its daunting every time - especially if they take any more detail than a solid color!

Someday I'll get all the pictures together of cookies I've done. Roosters, Turkey's, Wedding cakes, alphabets, shamrocks, various christmas shapes, pumpkins, the list just keeps going.
